The building sector weighed 140 billion euros in France in 2018 and represented 394,000 companies for 1,100,400 employees. This sector represents half of the industrial sector in France. For comparison, it is equivalent to twice the banking and insurance activities. Despite a slowdown in activity expected in the coming semesters, the building sector remains one of the most important industrial sectors in France. To animate this community and allow professionals to meet, discuss, discover new products and innovations, several trade shows are organized in France.

Organized by Comexposium, EVOLIS and SEIMAT, INTERMAT is the international construction and infrastructure fair. It takes place every 3 years in Paris Nord Villepinte. The event welcomes 173,300 visitors and 1,400 exhibitors presenting solutions, equipment and materials dedicated to major projects, public works and construction. The show is organized around 5 areas of activity: earthworks, demolition & transport; road, materials industries & foundations; building & concrete industry; lifting & handling; new technologies. NORDBAT is the largest regional construction trade fair north of Paris. An event focusing on proximity, NORDBAT allows all building professionals to meet their regional and national suppliers and partners during the show.
