1. SIAE (France)

The International Paris Air Show (SIAE) is an international event of great importance. Organized in odd-numbered years on the site of Le Bourget airport, north of the capital, it is an unmissable event for aeronautical professionals. Existing since 1909, this event is a world reference. The 2019 edition gathered 316,000 visitors and 2,450 exhibitors. Organized over 125,000 sq.m of exhibition space, the SIAE 2019 hosted 140 aircraft, around 40 in-flight presentations, 2,700 journalists and 304 official delegations. 140 billion dollars in orders were placed on the event.

2. Séoul ADEX (South Korea)

From October 19 to 24, 2021, the Seoul ADEX (Aerospatial and Defense Exhibition) will open its doors in the heart of the South Korean capital. Organized every two years, this show takes place for six days (only the last two are open to the public). This aeronautical event is a great success: in 2017, 400 exhibitors held a stand there for a record attendance (85,000 professionals, 200,000 visitors). Outdoor exhibits are plentiful, as are daily flight demonstrations with international aerobatic teams.

3. ILA Berlin (Germany)

Every two years, the global aerospace industry comes together to take part in the Internationale Luftfahrtausstellung Berlin (or ILA). Having become a must, this event brought together more than 1,000 exhibitors from all over the world for its 2018 edition. Aerospace innovation is at the heart of this show, for which 180,000 visitors and 2,500 media made the trip. The next edition, which will take place from May 13 to 17, 2020, hopes to exceed the previous crowds.

4. Royal International Air Tattoo (UK)

In the field of military aeronautics, the most important event in the world is the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT). It is held each year in the west of the London capital, at the Royal Air Force base at Fairford, and welcomes nearly 180,000 visitors. During this meeting, the most renowned companies in the sector are brought together. Several hundred devices are on display in front of a large audience. The 2019 edition of RIAT placed special emphasis on the British space industry to celebrate the fiftieth anniversary of the first moon landing.

5. Farnborough International Airshow (UK)

Taking place every two years in July in the British town of Farnborough, 50 kilometers from London, the Farnborough Airshow is a renowned event in the field of civil and military aviation. Organized since 1948, over the years it has become an event of international significance. The 2018 edition was a great success with a 10% increase in the number of visitors (over 80,000 visitors) and 192 billion dollars in orders announced at the event. Note, more than 96 countries were represented at the 2018 edition of the show.

6. Dubai Air Show (EAU)

The United Arab Emirates have had a major air show since 1989 with the Dubai Air Show. Taking place in the country's largest city every two years, the event attracted only 200 exhibitors when it started. The 2019 edition welcomed 1,288 exhibitors and 84,000 visitors. 161 aircraft were on display and the show generated $ 54.5 billion in orders.

7. Singapore Airshow (Singapore)

In Asia, the Singapore Airshow is a benchmark aviation show. It has been held every two years since 2008, as a partnership between the Singapore Civil Aviation Authority and the Defense Science and Technology Agency. The large-scale, multi-day event is being held at Changi Air Base, near Singapore Changi Airport. New technologies (drones, robots) play a significant role in this. The 2018 edition welcomed 1,062 exhibitors from 50 countries and 54,000 visitors.

8. MAKS (Russia)

Since 1992, the Moscow International Aerospace Show has been held every two years at the Zhukovsky Airport site, near the Russian capital. It is one of the world's leading aviation shows. It gives priority to the innovations resulting from Russian technology in the aerospace sector. The largest manufacturers present on their booth many exclusives for the occasion. Prototypes of airplanes as well as technologies still in the experimental stage are also presented to visitors. The 2019 edition welcomed 827 exhibitors from 33 countries and nearly 580,000 participants. The fair generated 559 billion rubles in orders.

9. F-AIR (Colombia)

South America is no slouch when it comes to aviation events. In the north of the continent, F-AIR is a major exhibition that highlights civil and defense aeronautics. Intended primarily for professionals in the sector, it is held in the Colombian city of Rionegro, not far from Medellin. The 2019 edition welcomed 220 exhibitors and 3,500 professional visitors.

10. Marrakech Air Show (Morocco)

Every two years (even years) the MAS, the main event dedicated to aeronautics on the African continent, is organized in Marrakech. Also called AeroExpo Marrakech, since 2008 this show has brought together manufacturers and state agencies in the aeronautics and space sectors. The MAS has become a real institution: in 2018, 300 exhibitors from 80 countries were present on site, for an estimated attendance of 30,000 visitors. Numerous conferences and aerial demonstrations punctuated this edition.
